I have been serving families through pregnancy and childbirth since 2004. It is my passion to help families understand their choices in childbirth and to provide evidence-based education. Parents are empowered to advocate for themselves. I suffered with infertility for over 20 years and have experienced two pregnancy losses. Women who have gone through these experiences are very close to my heart but I am also extremely passionate about mental health support following birth and have developed a curriculum used in a local hospital “After Baby Comes” to empower families with the knowledge needed to get through this transition.
I am the author of three books (one pending) – “All That is Seen and Unseen; A Journey Through a First Trimester Miscarriage” which has helped hundreds of women Worldwide and “It’s Not ‘Just’ a Heavy Period; The Miscarriage Handbook,” which is used in clinics and hospital emergency rooms around the country.
I have served countless families who have experienced or are experiencing a miscarriage, stillbirth, or fatal diagnosis with their baby through my ministry, Dragonflies For Ruby. I have over 80 hours of education in perinatal loss; however, COVID has created unbearable limitations and this ministry has not been able to sustain this hit. There is limited availability for these much needed services.
I have been married for over 23 years and have 3 living children. I am a professional speaker, blogger, author, and educator.
