CAPPA partners with many extraordinary organizations throughout the USA and around the world in an effort to facilitate self-advocacy in families and encourage culturally relevant education, support, and training. We strive to meet our partners’ objectives while transforming communities to encourage and support healthy, informed family decisions. As a result, our partners have engaged thousands of perinatal professionals, empowered communities, built stronger brands, and given educators, doulas, and families the support they need.
Cord Blood Registry
Cord Blood Registry (CBR) is the world’s largest newborn stem cell company. Founded in 1992, CBR is entrusted by parents with storing samples from more than 600,000 children. CBR is dedicated to advancing the clinical application of cord blood and cord tissue stem cells by partnering with institutions to establish FDA-regulated clinical trials for conditions that have no cure today.
CBR has helped more than 400+ families use their cord blood stem cells for established and experimental medical treatments, more than any other family cord blood bank. CBR’s goal is to expand the potential scope of newborn stem cell therapies that may be available to patients and their families.
Cord Blood Registry is headquartered in South San Francisco, California. CBR’s owned 80,000 square foot laboratory is located in Tucson, Arizona.
Love To Dream
The Love To Dream Swaddle UP allows baby to sleep in their natural position, with their arms up. Baby can self-soothe by stroking their cheeks or sucking on their hands, while being snug around the torso providing a secure ‘swaddled’ feel. There are no worries about loose blankets in the crib, or how many layers of fabric are on baby making maintaining baby’s temperature easier, and the sleep environment safer.
The Attachment Pregnancy
Studies have shown that parents have more influence over their child, both emotionally and physically, during pregnancy and the first years after birth than at any other point in life. Childbirth experts Tracy Wilson Peters and Laurel Wilson guide you through each stage of development with advice for providing consistent and nurturing care as your baby grows, so that you can ensure that every need is always met. Birth Behind Bars
For over 15 years, Birth Behind Bars has been a pioneer organization, caring for pregnant inmates. Janice Banther, CCCE, CLD, CHBE, CIMI founded Birth Behind Bars in 2001 as an inmate program in Tampa Bay, Florida. Pregnant inmates make up 8% – 10% of the jail/prison population at any given time in the United States. Our mission is to help train birth professionals and the prison staff on how to help these forgotten women in jails and prisons across the country.
APPPAH educates professionals and the public, worldwide, that a baby’s experience of conception, pregnancy, and birth creates lifelong consequences for individuals, families, and society. As a result of scientific discoveries and continually emerging evidence, we know babies are conscious and sentient beings.
