Hi there! I’m Ashley Gill. I’m so glad you’re considering what doula support could look like for your family. Whether you’re pregnant with your first baby or postpartum with your third, I fully believe you deserve whatever support you need.
Some fun things about me! I love to garden and paint with watercolors. Going for a walk is my favorite type of exercise. That, or the Peloton. I never thought I’d like a bike that doesn’t go anywhere, but alas, it’s so much fun! I really enjoy cooking. And, one of my favorite things is to be able to drink a hot cup of coffee in the mornings before any of my kids are up. That one is a work in progress, ha!
I have been married to my husband, Chris, for almost nine years. We are originally from Massachusetts, lived in St. Louis for about four years, and made our way to the Tulsa area in 2018. We own a food manufacturing company in Claremore, love exploring new places, and have three amazing boys. Lucas is 5.5, Jackson is 3.5, and Grayson is 19 months old.
The name Graceful Birth & Beyond originated from the phrase I heard a lot while pregnant and postpartum with my kids: “Have grace for yourself.” It took me a long time to really appreciate and understand what that truly meant. I still don’t know if I’ve fully mastered it, but I believe it is doing things for others and yourself that is full of love and mercy. A tenderness towards life and circumstances that dissipates the need for striving and perfection. The acceptance of help and support when the world forces the idea of muscling and white-knuckling our way through. As your doula, I am committed to listening to your desires and concerns and helping you experience abundant grace in your new journey.
