The CAPPA Postpartum Doula Training
Ready to become proficient when offering professional postpartum support? Take the first step towards becoming a Certified Postpartum Doula with CAPPA. This eighteen hour workshop meets the first requirement of your CPD program and prepares you to work through the steps for certification. This course is designed to provide a foundational skill base, knowledge, and perspectives on professional postpartum support for perinatal professionals, as well as providing training for those seeking certification as certified postpartum doulas with CAPPA.
Offering 18 CAPPA Contact Hours. Nursing contact hours potentially available on request.
The CAPPA Postpartum Doula Training Class includes the CAPPA Postpartum Doula Manual, and covers the following topics:

Faculty: Kristy Zadrozny, is NYC’s resident Labor and Postpartum Doula faculty member for the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA), additionally, she is the only Mindfulness Based Childbirth and Parenting facilitator and Becoming Us Facilitator in NYC. Since 2010, Kristy has dedicated Expecting(nyc), her private practice, to support women and their families as they journey through the childbearing years. She has witnessed and supported thousands of families during the transformational period of pregnancy, birth and parenting. Kristy specializes in mindfulness based theory and practice, family relationship dynamics and professional education for doulas, as it applies to the perinatal period. She is an advocate for a woman’s right to have a healthy, positive birth experience in the environment of her choice. Her support methods include therapeutic massage therapy, lactation counseling, evidence-based education, and an open heart.
Refund Policy: I agree to the following cancellation policy: · If Kristy Zadrozny cancels the workshop, students have the option of receiving a full refund or transferring to another workshop taught by Kristy Zadrozny and ExpectingNYC. · All other cancellations will be charged a $50.00 processing fee. · If the cancellation is made within three weeks of the workshop, no refund will be given. · Cancellations prior to training workshop have the option of having payment applied to a training workshop given by Kristy Zadrozny within 12 months. (No-shows are not eligible for registration transfer.) Only ONE transfer of registration is permitted. If applicant does not attend a workshop within 12 months, all fees are forfeited. · I understand I should not make non-refundable travel arrangements unless I have received confirmation from Kristy Zadrozny that the training workshop is confirmed. · In the event of hazardous weather or any other travel issues making it impossible for Kristy Zadrozny to hold the workshop, a makeup option will be made available. Kristy Zadrozny is not responsible for any travel expenses students may incur.
NOTE: Each student must be in attendance during the entirety of the training provided in order to receive a certificate of attendance for this Training Class.
