Staci Campbell

Hi there, I’m Staci and I’ve been a doula in the Charlotte area for over 6 years and a doula for over 12, beginning my practice in my hometown right outside of Burlington, Vermont. I own Statesville Doula & Lactation where I am a doula, childbirth educator, and Certified Lactation Counselor with ALPP. My passion for birth work began after the somewhat traumatic birth of my oldest in 2010. I left that birth with what I had believed to be empowerment but soon after, realized the empowerment I felt was based off of my consistently advocating for and defending myself in the birth space. I realized we shouldn’t HAVE to fight for how we want to birth in order to feel a sense of empowerment. Once I had this epiphany, I felt in my heart of hearts that I never wanted another family to have to jump through hurdles to have the birth they desire. Four years later, I went on to have two more completely healing water births and base the healing on becoming informed after my first birth. Now, I support all birthing folks and their families through this journey called birth and I ABSOLUTELY respect and honor their journey and how it unfolds. The well known quote “choose a job you love and you will never work a day in your life,” is my mantra. I love what I do, I love the people I meet, and I am humbled and honored to witness families growing.
