As a mother of three, doula work is very near and dear to my heart. I believe supporting families through birth and beyond is a meaningful and important role that I take very seriously.

Supporting families through pregnancy, birth and postpartum has been more than just a career to me; it’s been an honor and a pleasure.

First and foremost, I pride myself on the importance of maintaining a professional relationship and performing my duties. At the same time, I’m also open and able to connect on a deeper level, when appropriate. I believe this has been an asset to my work as a doula, and the families that I’ve served.

It’s been such a gift to be able to make a difference in the way a family feels supported and cared for throughout their journey.

Nicole began her journey towards birth work in the fall of 2014, after the birth of her youngest son. Her own birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding experiences lead her to the realization that there is a very apparent and unfortunate lack of continuity of care. After more than a year of self-study, she completed a birth doula training program through CAPPA, (Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association.) At the advice of her instructor, she continued on by taking the postpartum doula training through CAPPA, and began working with families immediately.

She is constantly expanding her knowledge through literature, continuing education courses and workshops, enjoys learning from those who have come before her, and is a professional member of Evidence Based Birth. Nicole is knowledgeable in the use of acupressure for birth, trained and certified in advanced VBAC support, a pelvic biomechanics enthusiast, and skilled in the art of interpersonal communication.

Having attended several Hypno-births, she is an advocate for peaceful birthing through the use of hypnosis for childbirth and is a registered Hypno-Doula through Hypnobabies. Through her role as a traditional birth doula, she uses trust, relaxation, focus, breathing, movement, and her intuition as her best tools. A bag of tricks is great, but she uses her energy, heart and hands the most. – And her Rebozo!

Nicole is passionate about inclusivity, human rights and reproductive justice. She believes that everyone deserves compassionate care, and serves people and families of any/all dynamics. She is a firm believer in intuitive, informed, non-judgmental, support and knows the lasting, positive impact it can have on an entire family.

Aside from her professional work, Nicole enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling, attending various musical events, nature, art, and is a total plant-based “foodie.”
