I have the privilege of supporting new families during the very exciting time when they welcome their new baby/babies home! My role is to take exceptional care of newborn(s), provide ongoing newborn/infant education with the latest evidence based information and methods, and to establish healthy eating and safe sleeping habits starting from the very first night of care. I support families emotionally, reducing fear and anxiety, and building their confidence through knowledge. My assignments are typically during the first 0-16 weeks of life (sometimes longer). I provide care overnights, days, travel, and/or 24/7… I take care of all things baby!
As a life long learner, I am passionate about education. I graduated with honors from North Central College in 2009. I have completed advanced trainings in newborn care specialist support, postpartum doula support, infant sleep, sleep conditioning and sleep training, infant massage, lactation, formulas, childbirth educator, child psychology, child nutrition, labor doula, and more!
I have achieved the highly desired designation as a CACHE Certified Newborn Care Specialist from The Council for Awards in Care, Health, and Education.
I have been awarded the title of ProDoula Certified Postpartum & Infant Care Doula.
My personal philosophy is to empower families and caregivers through knowledge which in turn builds confidence! My style is gentle care for the newborn and entire family.
