CAPPA Certified Postpartum Doula: CPD
Want to be inspired and empowered to begin or enhance your perinatal career? The CAPPA Postpartum Doula Training
Ready to become proficient when offering professional postpartum support? Take the first step towards becoming a Certified Postpartum Doula with CAPPA. This eighteen hour workshop meets the first requirement of your CPD program and prepares you to work through the steps for certification. This course is designed to provide a foundational skill base, knowledge, and perspectives on professional postpartum support for perinatal professionals, as well as providing training for those seeking certification as certified postpartum doulas with CAPPA.
Offering 18 CAPPA Contact Hours. Nursing contact hours potentially available on request.
The CAPPA Postpartum Doula Training Class includes the CAPPA Postpartum Doula Manual, and covers the following topics:
· CAPPA certification and policies
· Practical application of Scope of Practice, ethics, and integrity

· Emotional and Physical Support of the Postpartum Mom

Faculty: Suyin Jordan RGN, RM, CPD, is a CAPPA Certified Postpartum and Labour Doula, Lactation Educator and Childbirth Educator. She has been serving clients around Toronto and the GTA for over 6 years as the business owner of Cherry Blossom Doula Inc. Suyin worked as a registered nurse and midwife in the UK for 20 years and is a mother of 2 grown up children. Her knowledge and experience fuels her passion to support individuals and families holistically to encourage healthier outcomes, both mentally and physically.
Refund Policy: A minimum of three (3) attendees is required for the workshop to go ahead. If less than three (3) people are signed up three (3) weeks before the scheduled workshop date, workshop may be cancelled.
If the training is cancelled for any other reason, a refund in the full amount will be given or put towards the next scheduled training.
Written cancellations received more than six (6) weeks prior to the workshop will be refunded all fees minus a $75 processing fee.
Written cancellations received within six (6) weeks of the workshop are not eligible for any refund, however payment can be applied to an alternate training workshop given by the same CAPPA Faculty within twelve (12) months. (NO-SHOWS are not eligible for registration transfer). Only ONE (1) transfer of registration is permitted. There will be a transfer fee of $25. If applicant does not attend a workshop within 12 months, all fees are forfeited.
You should avoid non-refundable travel arrangements unless you have received confirmation from me, Suyin Jordan, that the training is confirmed.
