Hi there! I’m so glad you’ve found my profile here with CAPPA and hope this helps you get to know me a little better.

My story begins with a love for kids from when I was still a kid myself! That might be a bit far back to start though… In 2008 I became a mom to 2 cute and tiny preemie twins and my struggles with breastfeeding began. If it weren’t for those struggles (and subsequent struggles of varying types with my next 3 kids) I wouldn’t be where I am today! Fast forward to today:

I have been supporting families in the postpartum period for almost 10 years.
As an IBCLC I address breastfeeding, bottle feeding, oral tethers, multiples, preemies and more.
As a Certified Postpartum Doula I address the shift of becoming a mother and all the chaos and beauty that comes with it, especially newborn care and education for new parents.
I am also currently pursuing a Certification in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International in order to better address the concerns that arise for so many parents after the birth of a baby when the emotional and physical are both so incredibly overwhelming.

When you wear your heart outside your body and somehow can’t seem to figure out who you are anymore, it is so crucial to have good, grounded support for yourself and those around you. I hope that my care, in whatever you are looking for, provides that for you! Since no 2 people are alike, your goals come first and foremost in my mind. A mother-centric model if you will… you don’t have to do this alone!

When I’m not putting my passion to work supporting families, I am compulsively organizing, scrolling Pinterest, listening to BTS, pretending I have a green thumb, and learning about all things Japan. I live in Tempe, Arizona (but wish I lived by the ocean) with my husband, Dr. William Clay, or “Mr. Bill” as his students call him- a university and freelance music instructor, published composer and professional musician. Our kids range from 8 to 15 years of age, spanning elementary to high school, and like typical kid stuff… Dungeons & Dragons, playing with their school orchestras, beating their dad at Super Smash Bros, swimming and tide pools at the beach and snuggling their beloved chickens, “pets with benefits!”
