Community Based Doula – Helping Hands-Loving Hearts Doulas

Free Doula services to women who qualify in the LA area. The Community Based Doula (CBD) provides direct services to pregnant women/teens and their families in low resource and underserved communities. A CBD provides emotional, physical and educational support sensitive to the unique birthing/parenting process of the birth mother and her family during pregnancy, labor & delivery, and the weeks following the birth. The doulas are liaisons to strengthen relationships between primary care providers, families, and community-based organizations by working consistently to develop relationships across disciplines in an effort to enhance parent’s knowledge of their child’s development.
