Peace! I’m Shekita, a proud mother of three and a member of a large family where my deep appreciation for pregnancy, birth, and children blossomed.

Inspired by my grandmother, who lovingly welcomed eight children into the world at home, I grew up in an environment filled with warmth and joy. This foundation fuels my commitment to forging meaningful connections with each of my clients, creating a nurturing bond of trust and support that is essential during this transformative journey.

My mission is centered on community well-being, focusing on reducing infant and maternal mortality rates in Detroit. This passion led me to train as a labor and birth doula and a community health worker.

I hold the belief that every birthing person deserves to make empowered choices. By honoring your unique journey and intuition, I strive to provide the support and guidance that best serves you during this pivotal time. Together, we will embrace the beauty of birth and the joy of new beginnings.
