Welcome! My name is Laura Reedy, and I am a passionate and dedicated doula with personal and professional experience in childbirth. I have two sets of active twin boys. As a twin mom, I have personally navigated both medicated and unmedicated births, including vaginal (3) and cesarean (1) twin deliveries. My journey through these diverse birth experiences has fueled my passion for supporting and empowering fellow twin moms to achieve the birth they desire.

I believe knowledge is power and will direct you to evidence-based information to help with your decision-making. Though not acting in a medical capacity when working as a doula, I am a registered nurse. I believe in personal autonomy, that is, the right for people to take in information and make their own decisions without being influenced by others. My aim is to present unbiased evidence-based information to help you make your decisions and then be there to advocate for your desires. I am committed to advocating for your wishes and providing unwavering support throughout your birthing journey. Together, we will create a birth plan that reflects your preferences, while remaining flexible and open-minded should your needs change.

I am continuously amazed by the resilience and capacity of the human body. I firmly believe that our bodies and minds are capable of incredible feats. Recognizing that labor can be a marathon, I am here to guide you through your options and help you practice and prepare for the labor experience you envision.

My approach encompasses a variety of techniques to enhance the enjoyment and effectiveness of your labor, including:

• Meditation and breathing techniques to promote relaxation and focus

• Position changes to facilitate comfort and progress

• Hands-on counter pressure and massage to alleviate discomfort

• Methods to naturally increase oxytocin levels to aid in a more positive labor experience
