My name is Laura Hayward. I am a Doula & Reiki Master - I service clients in Manhattan and the Hamptons, please see my website www.justpause.com or my instagram @the.birth.code for more details.

I am passionate about birth and refer to my approach, the intersection of Statistics and Holistics, as representing both sides of my personality.

I spent nearly 15 years in Finance, at Investment Banks in London and New York, prior to following my calling to the birth world. All those years of data and numbers are hard to shake, so I bring a truly evidence based approach to pregnancy and labour. Holistic care is also my passion, my father is a Breath Work Instructor and Reiki practitioner in England, and I followed in his footsteps, training in 2017, and bringing Breath Work, Meditation and Reiki into then birth room. 

I find that this combination helps ease a busy mind with data and truly a physiologically approach, whilst the holistic care, helps with pain management, brings a state of calm, and balances the energy in the birthing room.

My wife and I live on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, and in the Hamptons, with our dogs, cat, chickens and horse.
