CAPPA Childbirth Educators are non-clinical professionals. CAPPA Childbirth Educators do not dispense medical advice, diagnose medical conditions, or prescribe/administer medications or treatments of any kind. Educators do not offer information that directs families to act against medical advice.

Gwynne Knap has been a CAPPA certified childbirth educator since 2009, teaching hundreds of birthing persons and their partners how to achieve a low-intervention birthing experience. Originally, her classes were conducted under the Confident Childbirth of Atlanta brand and then later, under the Kopa Birth – Classes for Natural Birth in the Hospital. Gwynne Knap has also taught childbirth classes through Dekalb Medical Center as well as with Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies of Georgia. In 2014, Gwynne Knap joined the CAPPA Childbirth Educator Faculty to conduct the 18-hour CAPPA Childbirth Educator Training Course.
