The CAPPA Postpartum Doula Training
Ready to become proficient when offering professional postpartum support? Take the first step towards becoming a Certified Postpartum Doula with CAPPA. This eighteen hour workshop meets the first requirement of your CPD program and prepares you to work through the steps for certification. This course is designed to provide a foundational skill base, knowledge, and perspectives on professional postpartum support for perinatal professionals, as well as providing training for those seeking certification as certified postpartum doulas with CAPPA.
Offering 18 CAPPA Contact Hours. Nursing contact hours potentially available on request.
The CAPPA Postpartum Doula Training Class includes the CAPPA Postpartum Doula Manual, and covers the following topics:

Faculty: Teresa Maskery is a CAPPA Certified Labour/Postpartum Doula, New Parent/Lactation Educator and the Senior Advisor for the CAPPA Childbirth Educator program. She joined CAPPA faculty to equip and empower those wishing to expand their knowledge and skills to have a thriving doula or birth educator business. Teresa prides herself on offering interesting, innovative, interactive trainings that will increase group participation and encourage content retention. Her desire is to help you trust and embrace the journey you are on so you can support the families in your community.
Refund Policy: If the trainer cancels/reschedules a training for any reason and you are unable to attend the new dates, a full refund will be given. All student written cancellations received more than a month prior to the training will be refunded all fees minus a $99 processing fee. Student written cancellations received within a month of the training are not eligible for any refund, however payment can be applied to an alternate training workshop given by the same CAPPA Faculty within 12 months. (No-shows are not eligible for registration transfer.) Only ONE transfer of registration is permitted. If applicant does not attend a workshop within 12 months, all fees are forfeited. Applicants should not make non-refundable travel arrangements unless they have received confirmation from their CAPPA Faculty that the training is confirmed.
