Why Certify as a CCCE?

Certified Childbirth Educators (CCCEs) provide evidence based information to the community, families and professionals. Childbirth Educators can be found working in a variety of settings to offer their services to families. Families can find them working as public health educators, hospital/community educators, in care providers’ offices and in private practice as educators.

CAPPA Childbirth Educators are non-clinical professionals. CAPPA Childbirth Educators do not dispense medical advice, diagnose medical conditions, or prescribe/administer medications or treatments of any kind. Educators do not offer information that directs families to act against medical advice.

Begin or expand your birth business by attending a WellPregnancy childbirth educator training, a major step towards becoming CAPPA certified!

Spend 18 hours immersed in birth education, and come away with new knowledge and inspiration. Learn how to teach pregnant people and their support partners evidence-based information and labor skills. Prepare for a job you’ll love. No medical background required. Student nurses welcome. An accelerated childbirth educator certification track is available for registered nurses, midwives and some certified doulas and experienced childbirth educators. A Facebook support group is available for all WellPregnancy students.
