The CAPPA 18 Hour Childbirth Educator Training
Ready to become more proficient when offering childbirth education? Take the first step towards becoming a Certified Childbirth Educator with CAPPA. This eighteen-hour training meets the first requirement of your CCCE program and prepares you to work through the steps for certification. Why Certify as a CCCE?
Certified Childbirth Educators (CCCEs) provide evidence based information to the community, families and professionals. Childbirth Educators can be found working in a variety of settings to offer their services to families. Families can find them working as public health educators, hospital/community educators, in care providers’ offices and in private practice as educators.
CAPPA Childbirth Educators are non-clinical professionals. CAPPA Childbirth Educators do not dispense medical advice, diagnose medical conditions, or prescribe/administer medications or treatments of any kind. Educators do not offer information that directs families to act against medical advice.
Faculty: Anna Rodney, CLD, CPD, CCCE, MA ED, Hypnobirth Instructor, Happiest Baby on the Block Instructor and owner of Chicago Family Doulas and Arizona Doulas has been a doula for the past 7 years. She is passionate about teaching and providing doulas the tools they need to be successful in this amazing career. She believes that with the right tools this can be a life long profession. She has a deep understanding of the skill set needed to support all families and has an incredible ability to make this information tangible. Anna has supported families for the past 20 years as a respite worker, special educator, childbirth educator, agency owner and labor and postpartum doula. Cancellation/Refund Policy: By registering and paying for this training, I understand that there are no refunds for this training. If student cannot attend this training, all funds will be held for the remaining calendar year to be applied to a future training taught by Anna Rodney (within the same calendar year). To transfer to another training, I understand that I will need to pay a $50 transfer fee. If you fail to transfer to another training within the same calendar year and fail to pay the $50 transfer fee, all funds will forfeited. If a coupon was used for the training, the student must pay the difference between the discounted rate and the regular rate if they fail to attend the original training they registered for. There are no refunds.
NOTE: Each student must be in attendance during the entirety of the training provided in order to receive a certificate of attendance for this Training Class.
