Hi, I’m Sarah! I’m a wife, the mother of two wonderful girls, and an enthusiastic lover-of-babies. As a mother, I have encountered so many challenges: an unplanned c-section, countless, breastfeeding challenges, and feeling desperately overwhelmed with a seemingly-never-sleeping newborn. I’m so grateful for the helpers that surrounded me during these difficult times, and it’s their support that inspired me to begin my career as a doula.
The type of help that I offer looks different for every mother and every family. I love getting to know my clients to find out how I can be there for them, from offering tips for newborn care to being a source of emotional support to troubleshooting breastfeeding issues. I combine my personal experience and instinctual compassion with a wealth of factual knowledge to present my families with information to help them reach their parenting goals. I offer explanations in easily-understandable terms and provide families with plenty of written, organized data to help them reach their goals.
In my free time (ha!) I love reading, knitting, gardening, hula hooping, doing arts and crafts, and playing outside with my family. We live in Ipswich, Massachusetts with our two cats, Merlin and Lola.
