ICAN of Athens was the Athens chapter of the International Cesarean Awareness Network, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing medically unnecessary cesareans through education, advocacy and the promotion of Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC). We provided support for cesarean recovery as well as advocate for a better, more family centered experience when a surgical birth becomes necessary.
