I have been a birth doula for 20 years. I got my start at a small rural hospital working with Medicaid patients who were primarily in their teens. While there I assisted in 300 births. From there I started a private practice and enjoyed it very much. In 2012 I decided to pursue my undergrad in Social Work. This took me away from my practice but, I never stopped feeling the pull, back to doula work. In 2016 my family and I moved to Fort Mill, SC due to my spouse’s career. These past four years I’ve worked to build my practice again as well as co-founding a non-profit called Growing Families of the Carolinas. I have been married for 32 years to my high school sweetheart, we have 4 daughters and 2 grandchildren. I enjoy hiking and biking and growing things.
