Trained Labor Doula who has a natural love of people and the drive of service. I decided to become a Labor Doula because I realized their is a real need in the African American community and for women of color. Their is a lack support and education and I felt a calling to help fill in the gap and provide support, education and resources to women. I am in the process of obtaining Labor Doula Certification and in the near future I will be taking additional classes to become trained as a postpartum Doula as well as Lactation Consultant. My dream is to open a woman’s wellness center where women can become empowered and educated about their bodies and choices and become advocates for themselves and their health. My work experience and schooling has prepared me for this role. I worked as a referral specialist for 5 years in a medical facility and this experience gave me the ability to be able to find clients quality resources. Additionally, I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Law and Paralegal studies which allows me bring my skills of impeccable organization and research skills to clients in order to be able to find the best resources available for you in your area.
