Melanie is a CAPPA-trained postpartum doula. She understands the importance of the mother-child bond and the impact the first few months can have on a family. She loves helping new moms settle into their routine so they can feel comfortable taking care of their babies–and themselves. Melanie feels that mothers who are navigating postpartum depression need special care, and that her life experiences and compassion would benefit them.
Having been raised in South America as the daughter of Swiss nationals, Melanie is experienced with a variety of cultures and is fluent in Spanish. The mother of four children, she knows the joys and struggles of raising and educating a young family–as well the pain of losing one of her own babies. It is these life experiences that give her empathy without judgement when working with others.
Families love to work with her due to her patience, dependability, and responsiveness. She is organized, a great listener, and conscientious of the needs of others. She loves being a doula and is passionate about helping mothers and families.
