Hey, I’m Liza!! I’m a certified CAPPA labor doula, certified CAPPA childbirth educator, lactation educator and birth photographer in the Hickory and surrounding area. My crazy but amazing children are ten and five years old. Plus, I have a awesome bonus daughter that is 13. After having two very different experiences with the birth of my children I learned how amazing and empowering childbirth can be with enough knowledge and support. I want to help other women find the birth experiance they are looking for. My personal journey and love of all things pregnancy and baby, led me down the path to becoming a doula and childbirth educator. The information out there surrounding pregnancy and childbirth can be so overwhelming! I am passionate about helping other women navigate their way through all of that information. We will work together to prepare you for childbirth with evidence based, unbiased research which will help you thoughtfully devise a birth plan you feel confidant in. There are lots of decisions surrounding childbirth, we will discuss all the choices you face as well as how to communicate with your provider so you can make the best informed decision for you and your baby. I will be there to comfort, encourage and support you and your partner during the entire process.
Photography has been a part of my life for over 25 years. It seemed natural to want to bring those skills in to the birth space of clients who desired to have their birth documented. I learned very quickly that it took me 25 years to realize birth photography is AMAZING and just maybe my favorite!
Each client’s experience will be specific to their wishes. I’m so excited to walk with you during this journey!! You were made to do this!!
