Greetings!
My name is Kelsey and I am a nurse in rural Colorado. I am so excited to be a part of a larger community of educators. I was born and bred in Colorado, and moved to a small rural town in my 20’s where my dreams came true. I am a registered nurse in a labor, delivery, recovery, and post partum unit at a lovely small hospital where we deliver 100-120 babies each year. I have my own wild three year old and when I had him I struggled with breastfeeding. This led me to getting involved with lactation management and outreach to the community through our hospital. The best moments in my job come when I get to teach a family a childbirth class, then help them labor and deliver, and then help them with breastfeeding. It is truly a pleasure to serve these small communities of hearty mountain families.
