I have completed my training to become a Certified Labor Doula. I am the mother of four, stepmother of four more, and grandmother with number 9 on the way! My daughters-in-law asked me to attend their deliveries so I was able to support them for those three births. I’ve also had that privilege with a number of others. My goal is to support my daughter as a doula when she delivers her first child. Being present at the birth of a baby, a new little human being, is a sacred moment. I am very excited to be pursuing this goal.
My daughter-in-law Emily had me make a plaster cast of her belly just days before she delivered her first child. Now that was fun!
