Karen Schultz

I have been privileged to work in the birth and postpartum community for close to a decade. While I was born and raised in rural Minnesota, I lived out of state for a number of years before moving back to be closer to family. This life change prompted me to lean into one of my biggest passions — supporting women and families as they grow. I became a birth doula in 2012, a lactation counselor in 2015, and a postpartum doula and natural family planning practitioner in 2017, and currently serve the Better Beginnings team as a postpartum doula. It is my great joy to journey with families through the highs and lows of family life with a gentle, steady presence. Outside of doula work I enjoy singing, listening to bluegrass music, working on craft and home projects, and getting outdoors in all of Minnesota’s diverse seasons.
