My name is Hana Ilg, and I am labor and postpartum doula living in San Luis Obispo!
After a couple years of marriage under my belt, I started researching how to prepare for pregnancy and birth. I found a whole world of information that was completely foreign to me! So I dove in head first, and began reading all the books, blogs, and resources I could get my hands on.
I loved learning how amazing the woman’s body is and how powerful birth can be. It saddened how much fear there is surrounding birth and how lacking womanly support to a birthing mother is in our culture. I became more and more passionate about women knowing their options and making informed decisions and I didn’t want anyone else to feel so in the dark as I did before. This passion finally led me to pursue doula certification! I want others to be in the light about the world of options available for a truly amazing birth!
I am also a certified holistic health coach and love helping women nourish their bodies physically during this vital time. Mentally and emotionally, I strongly believe in the mind body connection during birth and want to help women tune into this. And finally, I believe in the wonderful capabilities of the woman’s body and want to help support women in finding their wonder, strength, and beauty during their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum season 🙂
