Hi! If you are reading this, I just want to say thank you for being here. I never imagined I would be here writing this and let alone become a Doula. It is extremely true what they say about being a Doula. This line of work “chooses you” versus you choosing it. I am proof of that. I went to school for Criminal Justice and Legal Studies! Yeah, you read that correctly; not even remotely close to Doula work. I may not be an expert on Science or Medicine but I am an expert on Social Justice. Part of being a Doula is being an advocate for those that need help with fighting for what they want. We all know the Healthcare system is not perfect and is not always the best at putting people’s needs first. I am so passionate about bringing that change through pregnancy, labor and postpartum journeys.
