Having grown up in Vermont, Elise was always around breastfeeding mothers, clean living, and being part of a village for new parents. Upon moving to North Carolina in 2015, she realized the silver lining that was missing in childcare- a cohesive option for care for the newest of babies to any age child, while providing a balance of education, nurturing, and love to the parents. A few years later, Silver Lining Doula & Nanny Services was born.
Elise has a wide variety of experience and certifications in pregnancy, labor, birth, and early parenting. She brings passion and expertise to each and every family she serves. Her interest in postpartum work was sparked when her little sister was born; she truly believed that this sweet angel was brought into this world as her baby. From this moment on, Elise knew she had to work with babies and families in some fashion. Essentially, Elise did not choose the doula/nanny life, the doula/nanny life chose her.
Silver Lining Doula & Nanny Services is Elise’s baby. She has poured her heart into it, fostering a village of parents, nannies, and doulas alike. Elise’s goal in creating SLDNS is to help make the transitions through parenthood smoother by empowering parents and giving them the confidence and tools towards finding their own parenting style and silver lining. Elise and the SLDNS team will be there with love, compassion, and without judgment as they support each unique family through their journey.
