Welcome Mommies and Daddies! Choosing a Doula, the right Doula, is so important to this chapter of your pregnancy journey. My name is Alexis Barrett-Harvey, I’m currently a practicing Registered Nurse and newly trained Doula.
I’ve been in the healthcare field since 2015, and I’ve worked in the NICU and Mother and Baby at Hahnemann departments at Abington and Hahnemann Hospitals from 2016-2018. I also worked at CHOP with infants and young children in 2019-2020.
Outside of my career, I’m a full-time “Auntie” and Leader of the Youth Ministry at my Church; it’s safe to say I come with a lot of family-based experience and nurturing is second nature for me! I also pride myself on my attention to detail, organization, great listening skills, and advocating for you is my top priority.
As a Registered Nurse and full-time “Auntie,” I’ve learned to multitask and think outside the box. Compassion and determination for your safety and comfort are another priority of mine! My goal is to make your last few weeks of pregnancy and your birth the memory of a lifetime. We will collaborate and work as a team to narrow down all your desires, within reason. I’m prepared to help you organize your babies’ space at home, do light cleaning, and light shopping, and give you the rest you need pre/post birth.
